Seattle Ballooning’s chief pilot Eliav Cohen landing their hot air balloon in Seattle Washington at 7 am
Before I met my wife, she participated in a dating project where she went on 100 dates to find the man of her dreams. She kept a blog and stats about the dates (it’s pretty funny and a good read).
You can imagine me; I was #101. After 100 dates in Seattle, she had been everywhere.

As you can see all the normal dates, and most of the not so normal dates were already taken. Well, there was one thing none of her dates had considered. A hot air balloon ride. Luckily for me, I happen to be one of 8000 hot air balloon pilots in the world.
Hot air balloon rides are adventurous and romantic. During the hour flight, you’ll skim the tops of trees, float over lush valleys, and watch the sunrise or sunset with a view of Mt. Rainier from 3000ft. It’s incredible. As we fly at tree top level over the farmland in the Enumclaw Valley, you’ll experience something very few people get the opportunity to see. Hundreds of cattle running toward old red barns for breakfast, horses roaming their pastures, and farmers working their fields. You’ll float over mansions, multi-million dollar estates, and beautifully manicured gardens. Eventually, we will choose one of those manicured lawns as our landing spot. You never know whom you’ll meet. We’ve met famous musicians, hedge fund managers, restaurant owners, winemakers, Seahawks, war veterans, and rock stars.
Once the hotair balloon and basket is packed up and stored in the trailer, we’ll invite the landowner to join us in a white table cloth champagne toast. You’ll savor the triple cream brie, organic strawberries, freshly baked bread, and buttery croissants. We call this the true “breakfast of champions.”
