1: Do you want a romantic experience or a commercial one?
If price is your only focus, you should choose a large commercial hot air balloon company as it is typically cheaper. For those of you who don’t find it romantic to be squished like sardines into a hot air balloon basket with 8-12 other people, you’ll want to look at booking a semi-private hot air balloon ride. This gives you the opportunity to share the basket with just one or two other couples, and is only $75 more per person on average.
2: Do you want to fly in Snohomish and Woodinville, or would you rather fly directly in front of Mt. Rainier?
Seattle Ballooning flies 25 minutes South of Seattle in Auburn Washington. By popular request, we launch our hot air balloons in the Enumclaw Valley just 36 miles from Mt. Rainier. When you are up at altitude, you’ll feel as though you can reach out and touch it.
3: Do you like good champagne, organic farm fresh strawberries with a fine Brie for breakfast?
Hot air ballooning was invented by the French. So it only makes sense that we uphold the tradition of serving a luxury champagne toast post flight. We import our Prosecco from a small vineyard that only produces 250 cases a year. While you have the option to add orange juice for a mimosa, most guests prefer our perfectly balanced prosecco on its own. Our strawberries and raspberries come from local Seattle farms, and our croissants or French bread are from local bakeries.
